Apple Launches the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

The long wait is finally over! Apple has finally revealed their next flagship to go against the world winning back the hopes of many iPhone fanatics bringing quite a lot of new features. Just as the rumors suggested, the iPhone 7 is going to be available in two models. One is the basic iPhone 7 and the other one is the iPhone 7 Plus.

Yes, they did ditch the 3.5mm jack. But to compensate for that, they’ll be including a lightning connector to 3.5mm jack adaptor in the box in all models.

During the event, Apple deeply focused on the build quality of the iPhone 7. With the iPhone 7, Apple has introduced two new colors i.e. Jet Black & Black. Jet Black is basically a shiny black color and “black” is completely black with black Apple logo. The Jet Black color does attract fingerprints, tough.

The Apple Logo is made up of stainless steel and the body is made up of blasted aluminum. The antenna is also built into the enclosure. The body of the iPhone 7 is pristine. Other finishes of the iPhone 7 include Gold, Silver and Rose Gold.

One of the new things of the iPhone 7 is that it features a brand new redesigned home button. The home button is now static and it incorporates Apple Touch ID technology. The functionality is also increased. You can hold the home button near a terminal pay using Apple Pay. The home button is now force sensitive too. It is powered by Apple’s new Taptic Engine. The Taptic Engine can also be programmed by third party applications.

Finally, the iPhone 7 comes with Dual Camera as what was leaked earlier. As usual, the iPhone 7 is built of aluminum and runs on iOS 10 out of the box. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are confirmed to be IP67 water and dust resistant finally.

However, it gets even better on the 7 Plus with dual 12MP cameras, one is a 56mm telephoto lens and the other one is a wide angle lens. Focal length is also adjustable which takes amazing zoomed-in images, thanks to the telephoto lens. With software zoom, it’s able to zoom up to 10 times. They also have AI built into the iPhone 7 Plus which allows it to differentiate between the subject and the background creating an amazing “bokeh” effect in real-time even before the photo is actually taken.

Apple AirPods Wireless

Apple has ditched the classic 3.5mm jack and has introduced their “AirPods” which according to them will change the way how we listen to music wirelessly. The AirPods know when you are ready to listen to music when you plug them in your ears. You can also double-tap to talk to Siri or talk on a call using the AirPods. Additionally, Apple will include wired AirPods in the box of the new iPhones and they’ll also include a lightning-to-3.5mm headphone jack adapter if you have earphones that don’t use the lightning connector.

The AirPods come with built in battery which will allow 5 hours of music listening. It also comes with a compact case which acts as a power bank for the headphones. The AirPods are powered by Apple’s new W1 sound processing chip, which allows amazing audio experience. The Apple AirPods cost $159 and they’ll be available in October this year.

As they ditched the headphone jack, they’re able to take advantage of the extra space. The speakers on the iPhone 7 are twice louder than the iPhone 6 and 6S.

How Fast is it?

The A10 chip also allows console-grade graphics on a mobile which is just amazing for a pocket device.
