Miniature Nintendo NES Will Not Get More Games:
In a recent interview, a Nintendo representative confirmed that the miniature Nintendo NES is a “standalone device” and it cannot connect to the Internet. The representative has confirmed that the NES Mini will not have any external storage which means that it won’t be getting more games. The 30 included games that come with the console are the only ones the players can play.
“The game lineup was chosen to provide a diverse mix of popular and recognizable NES games that appeal to a wide variety of players, everyone should be able to find multiple games to enjoy.”
– Nintendo Rep said in an interview.
Nintendo also confirmed that the NES Mini’s cartridge chamber doesn’t open. So there you have it, as the mini NES doesn’t have any external storage capability or cartridge functionality, it can’t get more games.
