Onda’s V989 is a Premium Tablet For Under $150

The $150 market doesn’t seem to be a fascinating budget to many. However, the $150 budget should not be overlooked. With Chinese manufacturers spamming the smartphone and tablet market, some gems could be spotted. Unlike the phones and tablets from Samsung and other bigger companies, Onda is a company that has been producing tablets for quite a while now. ONDA brings its V989 as an attractive new package which offers a customer both high performance and a premium build quality for under $150.

For the hardware, the Onda V989 sports a 1.8GHz Octa-Core A83T All Winner CPU paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal storage which could be expanded upto 128GB via a MicroSD card. Juicing up the tablet itself, the new Onda V989 comes with a 7,000mAh battery which is responsible for powering the 9.7 inch 2560 x 1440p display.

Coming over to the software side of the spectrum, the Onda V989 comes with Android 4.4 Kitkat which is quite outdated by now. Most users won’t feel the reason to upgrade. However, future updates for this tablet would have been nice to see.
