The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was available for pre-orders from the first week of August. Today, the phone is officially hitting the markets of US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and many other countries for $880. It will be available in the UK by September 2. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is available in four colors which are silver, blue, black and gold.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Getting Its First Update Today
Samsung is rolling out the first update for the Galaxy Note 7 today. The new update has updated security patches and various bug fixes. Only users who are currently using unlocked Galaxy Note 7 can install this update. The size of this update is 98MB. There will be more updates coming up on the Galaxy Note 7 soon. It will also get Google’s upcoming Android Nougat 7.0 OS. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 should get Android 7.0 in three months. Samsung Mobile’s President Koh Dong-jin has already confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will get the Android Nougat 7.0 OS by the month of November.
The final version of Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to come in the final quarter of 2016. The beta version of Android 7.0 Nougat will be available for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P two days later, on August 22. Also, the OG Nexus 5 is not getting Android 7.0. So, the users of Nexus 5 will either have to upgrade their phone or stick with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
