It hasn’t been long since Asus launched the Zenfone 3 Max and Laser. An Asus rep spilled the beans and told us that Asus is planning to opt for one device to make their lineup more simple.
Considering Asus’s 2nd generation changes in which their lineup was refreshed with laser auto focus, this year’s Zenfone 3 lineup came with laser autofocus equipped on all models except the Zenfone 3 Max in the first place. Now while they all already come equipped with laser autofocus and the Zenfone 3 Laser is the better choice over the Zenfone 3 Max, Asus told us that they are planning to merge both of the phones and ditch one of those names
While that is still true and an Asus rep. directly informed us about this, it’s still unconfirmed by Asus’s HQ in Taiwan. Now what will we lose and what we’ll gain is still a mystery. Hopefully we’ll get a larger battery, better hardware and a more simplified Asus lineup,
Until then, lets wait for an official name regarding the new device and sit back and look at what Asus has in store.
