Battlefield 1 was one of the most anticipated games of 2016, and it seems like EA DICE is kicking things off strongly in 2017. The company has announced on social media that Battlefield 1’s first DLC, called “They Shall Not Pass”, is getting revealed next week.

The teaser trailer, which you can see below, shows a war soldier standing in a battlefield, alongside a flag of France. At the end of 2016, DICE also revealed some information about the upcoming DLC.
“They Shall Not Pass will be the first Battlefield™ 1 expansion. Featuring all-new maps, new weapons, and the new playable French Army faction, They Shall Not Pass will truly expand the theater of all-out war.”

EA DICE also revealed some concept art pictures of the upcoming DLC which shows the all-new war-torn maps. One of the maps is a forest full of burning trees. The forest caught fire by the 1 million shells fired in the initial stage of the Battle of Verdun, according to DICE. One of the maps will also feature Fort Vaux and underground fortresses, all torn apart by war.
Battlefield 1’s “They Shall Not Pass” DLC is surely an exciting news for all the Battlefield fans out there. The DLC will be arriving next week. Those who own Battlefield 1 Premium Pass (costs $50), will be able to download the DLC and all the other upcoming DLCs two weeks before anyone else can buy them.
The DLC will arrive in March 2017, according to DICE. The DLC will feature new weapons, maps, and dog tags. It will also have a “new playable French Army faction”.
