8K is definitely something most gamers wouldn’t be able to experience for a while. With users still holding onto 1080p displays, 4K seems to be a far-fetched idea until users actually experience content in 4K. PC Gamers have been pushing resolutions as far at 12K thanks to Project Cars. However, granting such an experience may not be healthy for everyone’s wallet.
Earlier this year, Dell showed off an 8K display this year, carrying a model number of UP3218K, Dell’s 8K monitor alone runs for a whopping $5000. That alone is a cost that many users wont bear. We also had an interview with Asus Malaysia regarding their displays and what they had planned in the future. So far, it seems like Dell is the first to hit the jackpot on 8K panels.

The Youtuber showed off Battlefield Bad Company 2 running at 8K as well which is really impressive for being quite an old game by now. There’s a number of other games too that he has tested out. Here’s a few of the games he has tested. As a side note, you could keep an eye on the top-left corner of the video to keep an eye on the FPS. Nonetheless, while impressive, a real PC that would burn a hold in your wallet.
“Burn a (hole) on your wallet” There you have “burn a hold” in your wallet. Just a little typo on the last paragraph.
Good write up though and always good to see ThirtyIR getting some cred….
That SSD is a little small…I mean as long as you’re spending +10k on your display and other components you might as well spend 800 on a decent sized SSD.
I thought Pascal only supported 2 way sli
Ha! The XBOX One X will do that for just 500 bucks and better!
(yes I am kidding)
