Japan: Pokken Tournament DX Dominates, Followed By Splatoon 2

The Nintendo Switch has brought immense success back to Nintendo. With Nintendo continuing to keep their player base happy and active, their latest release, Pokken Tournament DX on the Switch has taken Japanese Sales by storm. According to a report by Media Crate Japan, the title has sold over 53K copies over the period of just 7 days.

Nintendo continues to blow huge with the way how they are releasing these titles one by one. The same goes for Splatoon 2, that sold over 21K units over the same time period leaving PlayStation 4 software sales behind. Here’s some sales figures with their rankings.

  1. Pokken Tournament DX (Switch) – 53,395
  2. Splatoon 2 (Switch) – 21,897
  3. PES 2018 (PS4) – 16,854
  4. NBA 2K18 (PS4) – 14,487
  5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) – 11,457

Nintendo’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to push itself into the top-5 as it enters its 5th month since its launch keeping Nintendo strong. Meanwhile, PES 2018 sees a slight downfall from first place to third this week.

Meanwhile, for hardware sales, Switch still dominates the pack with more than twice the amount Switch consoles sold compared to the PlayStation 4.
