RAZER is yet to unveil their holy grail of a smartphone. Well-known as the cult in PC peripherals and gaming notebooks, the brand has definitely built up an Apple-like enthusiastic consumer base.
We’ve been seeing a few leaks about the Razer phone making their way out since October and it seems like its finally time for the enthusiastic brand to show off what it is planning to bring to the table with all the competition surrounding it.
Recently, Android Police reported a leak that had recently made its way on the internet thanks to a listing on a UK carrier’s website where the brand listed a number of intriguing specifications. Not only does this create a huge a huge hype for the phone, but also reminds of Razer’s acquisition of NextBit last year. Being backed up by Razer themselves, the phone is a complete beast keeping up with all of the competition. As usual we could expect the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 8GB RAM, a 5.72-inch 16:9 2560 x 1440 QHD 120Hz IGZO display along with dual front firing speakers tuned by Dolby with some THX enhancements landing the cherry on top.
This is huge news as the PC-centric company seems to be revealing the ultimate gaming smartphone. And being a Razer smartphone, we could expect Razer to release the phone around $699-$1199 as well as include a number of Razer’s in-house integrations for their existing products. This reminds be of a joke BitWit made :
“We figured, if Apple could sell a book for $300, we have a shot as selling this phone at that a $1000?” – BitWit
What I am worried about is about the camera quality. Often new brands struggle optimizing cameras and considering that NextBit wasnt among the top-bunch in the first place, lets see what Razer does with its dual camera setup. Can’t wait to see as the phone is officially unveiled within the next 24 hours.
