Xiaomi Reveals The Xiaomi Redmi 5 & 5 Plus, Puts An End To The R1 Leak

Xiaomi has been gaining a lot of traction in 2017. With the company finally pushing bezel-less displays to its budget offerings, Xiaomi has an excellent phone on their hands. Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and 5 Plus would release on December 7th, 2017 in China.

We definitely saw the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus coming. However, anticipating its reveal definitely made us comfortable about what Xiaomi has planned for ahead. Xiaomi’s reveal put an end to the R1 leak from a few days ago.

Regarding the pricing, that’s something you have to wait for. As expected, Xiaomi would announce the availability a month after the phone launches in China. No further details were revealed by Xiaomi giving us the heads up to lookout for December 7th to learn more about the internals of the device and the display of the device.

Considering Xiaomi’s record of entertaining the community, the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus should be able to bring some strong competition to the Asian market. Readers who reside in other regions would have to import the device.

After waiting for a week, Xiaomi has finally completely unveiled the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. Both phones come at killer price points introducing beautiful bezel-less smartphones starting at just $120.  Here’s the rundown of the internals inside of the phone.
