Apple has always been pushing boundaries in the high-end market. With the company seemingly killing off all hopes of the next “C” phone, it seems like Apple might want to reconsider the “cheap iPhone” plan.
Renders have recently popped up suggesting what the iPhone XC may look like. Despite what the company may call the device in the end or even if it even exists, the device does seem to be attractive, even if Apple pushes it into the upper-mid-range segment. Afterall, these renders should be pretty accurate considering the tipsters past leaks and renders.
If true, we could speculate a bit of what the iPhone XC may pack in its plastic shell. Considering what internals Apple chose with the iPhone 5C, we could be looking at Apple’s A10 paired with 3/4GB of RAM. On top the of that, in collaboration with the leaker, the source that published these renders teases that the iPhone XC may also support wireless charging due to its plastic construction.
However, where Apple might skimp on could be on their new FaceID technology that requires a number of complicated and costly sensors. Additionally, with a plastic back and last-gen internals, there could be a possibility of the iPhone XC draft laying on the desks of the executives at Apple. But hey, its all speculations for now, and considering the talent, Martin Hajek, who rendered these images, we would love to see the iPhone XC to become a reality… but for under $500, that is.
