Sony has been sinking in recent years. With the Japanese company fighting for its survival in the smartphone industry, Sony is trying to captivate an audience that would love to hold onto Sony’s smartphones.
For 2018, it seems like Sony has their Xperia L2 in store, a device that would most likely hit the mid-range market later this year. So far, there’s no word on the internals of the phone. Alhtough, we do have some renders that indicate what the device may look like. Courtesy of Onleaks and CompareRaja, here’s a 360° view of the phone that shows the phone in its flesh.
Based off of what the leak above suggests, it seems like Sony would be going for a more comfortable approach with its rounded back rather than its usual boxy shells. So far, it seems like the L2 won’t do anything that would set itself apart from the competition.
According to what CompareRaja suggests, the L2 would pack some decent hardware for a mid-ranger.
Here’s some of the key specs of the Xperia L2
- 149.9 mm (l) x 78.4 mm (w) 9.8 mm (d)
- 5.5-inch screen
- 4GB RAM
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 630
- Android Nougat 7.1
Overall, the device seems to be decent. However, if this device launches in Asia, the fierce competition may overlook this device if Sony doesn’t price it well. Considering Sony’s history with pricing budget-oriented devices, it should be intriguing how Sony plans to enter 2018.
