Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are without a doubt one of the best smartphones of 2018. With Samsung starting off 2018 with a strong lineup of flagships, the company should have shifted its focus to prepare the launch of the next “Note” series device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that is.
Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus brought a host of improvements to the table. These improvements include the inclusion of an excellent all-new dual aperture camera setup and the inclusion of a secondary camera on the S9 Plus’s rear. These additions along with a host of upgraded hardware have brought the cost of the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus to $375.80, as IHS Markit reports.
In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy S8 cost Samsung about $300 to build which is approximately about $75 cheaper than the S9 Plus’s cost. But hey, this isn’t the S8 Plus is it?

Anyways, not only did Samsung improve on the camera side of things, but they’ve also implemented a ton of features too. This includes deep-learning capabilities, AI, faster SoC and a 960FPS slo-mo camera. All-in-all, its amazing to see what Samsung has done here. Despite the profit Samsung is making off of the device, these devices also have to carry the cost of advertisements which heavily uses to promote their devices.
