LG has just released their next big thing, the LG G7 ThinQ. It has been a few weeks since LG just released their G7 ThinQ and we’re already seeing a few leaks murmuring the internet suggesting what LG’s next phone may pack.
The first leak comes from a reputable leaker who was responsible for leaking the S8 and S9 pretty accurately. The leaker suggests that the LG G8 would pack a 4K display at launch. If true, this would be the second Android OEM device to pack a 4K display following Sony’s Xperia Z5 Premium and newer Sony devices.
Since the LG G7 ThinQ has just landed on the market, keep your eyes peeled for the release of the G8 in 2019. If so, we could see the device exceed the usual 3840 x 2160 resolution since the smartphone market has just shifted towards the 18:9 bezel-less trend.
For now, I think that it too early to take these leaks too seriously. However, considering that LG has to differentiate itself from the Samsungs and Apples, it could be possible. As they spoke to TechAltar, they seem to be focusing on four core areas. These areas are what they call ABCD. In laymen terms, the Audio Experience, Battery Life, Cameras and Display. Therefore, anything that would allow LG to breakthrough should give LG a chance to show off its devices.
So far, LGs devices have been overlooked by a number of consumers, and changing the concept of what LG can achieve has to be done fast. If we do see some enticing breakthroughs from LG, I would love to see what they could do to make this possible.
