Corning may not be something you may be that familiar with. Corning is a brand that has been supplying Gorilla Glass protection to a number of devices for a while now.
Now that Corning has hit its sixth generation of glass protection. Corning has revealed some excellent news for the future of smartphones. According to Corning, their new protection has been tested to withstand 15 drops 1 meter high. They managed to keep the thickness intact though thanks to the improvements in glass compression.
Aside from that this its also said that this would also bring enhanced wireless charging along with the possibility to trim off some more of those pesky bezels.
Indeed this is some impressive news for everyone. Brands should now be announcing their displays with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 in the near future.
