Asus’s GeForce RTX 2070 GPUs Revealed – Details Asus Strix, Dual & Turbo GPUs

Asus has just revealed quite a slew of GPUs here featuring the unreleased RTX 2070. With Asus being a key leader in the PC hardware market, Asus has led the pack with their take on this new lineup of Nvidia’s Turing GPUs. As usual, Asus is expected to come in ROG Strix, Dual and Turbo flavors and would offer a variety of options for a number of price brackets with the ROG Strix being the most expensive of the pack.

The seven different variants of the Asus’s RTX 2070 lineup all feature the same amount of CUDA cores along with the same amount of memory across the board as standard. Where they do differ is in their cooling solutions, display output options, and RGB capabilities.

By standard, all RTX 2070 GPUs come with 8GB GDDR6 memory along with 2304 CUDA cores. However, with the new lineup of Turing GPUs, the push towards Type-C display output is more evident than ever. As standard, these

With the ROG Strix RTX 2080 being the star of the show, Asus has implemented quite a few improvements with these cards across the board. Asus finally put an end to those pesky pointy solder points behind the PCB.

Being an Asus card, the ROG Strix 2070 comes with Asus’s in-house Aura Sync RGB lighting along with that thick 2.5-slot heatsink to help dissipate the heat as efficiently possible. Bundle that with three IP5X dust resistant fans and you have a sweet in house for yourself.

After the ROG Strix RTX 2080, we still have a few other cards, these cards include Asus’s Dual and Turbo lineup of GPUs. Both, the Turbo and Dual represent the entry-level lineup of GPUs and are a great option too if you aren’t very keen to overclock your GPU and don’t care much about the aesthetics of your system.

The Turbo RTX 2070 features a much slimmer footprint of the three. While the Dual RTX 2070 features a much more beefed up cooling solution compared to the last-gen Ceberus cards. In other words, up to 50% in terms of the heatsink’s surface area.

Here’s a graph the compares the three cards side by side.
