The LG V40 ThinQ has been receiving a ton of attention lately. The LG V40 ThinQ has pretty much confirmed the existence of a triple camera setup on its rear. Today, the folks over at LG released their first teaser for the LG V40 ThinQ affirming the renders from yesterday. In addition to that, LG did tease the fact that the LG V40 ThinQ would come in three colors, namely, blue, black, and red.
The LG V40 ThinQ Sports Five Cameras & Five Colors, Three Colors For Now
The constant theme throughout their latest teaser showcases fives all across the board. To make matters even more intriguing they released another teaser where they showed off five lenses, each unique in their own matters. Since we have learnt so far that the LG V40 ThinQ would sport a triple camera setup at its rear, it’s likely that the other two cameras they could be referring to would be embedded into the forehead of the device.
So far, we’re pretty confident in our assumptions regarding how the triple-camera setup works on the LG V40 ThinQ. Aside from the main camera, the other two cameras would be reserved for wide-angle photography and telephoto shots if that’s your thing. And given that this is a ThinQ device, we’d be safe to assume that the LG V40 comes with the usual AI capabilities and enhanced AI image-processing capabilities.
Regarding our assumptions on the front camera, we should be looking at the main camera and wide-angle camera duo since it’s likely that LG would take the wide-angle setup to the front of the device as well.
Digging deeper into the rabbit hole, we do notice a few subtle easter eggs referring to the colors the LG V40 may come in at launch. At first glance, not only did LG tease the three colors the V40 ThinQ comes in, but it also hints two more colors aside from the trio. Throughout the video, we noticed hints of gold and white fabric as they were being dragged across the V40 ThinQ. This could potentially mean that LG might launch the two colors a few months into the future after the LG V40 ThinQ makes its way to the market and not alongside the blue, black and red devices. If they do, this could be quite a premature tease from the folks over at LG.
Regarding the internals and features that the LG V40 ThinQ may boast, we’d suggest that LG may be going with a much more subtle approach this time overall as a package while putting a ton of emphasis on the camera game. Given how versatile LG has kept their V-series lineup by preserving things such as the headphone jack and the MicroSD card expansion slot, it’s likely that LG may continue with that mindset here too considering the fact that there’s nothing much to be surprised about the internal spec sheet for the V40 ThinQ.
Regarding internals, we would presume that the LG V40 ThinQ would come with the usual Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6/8GB RAM, a 4000mAh battery and the aforementioned triple-camera setup at its rear. What may catch us off guard would be if LG were to suddenly announced the V40 ThinQ with 512GB of internal storage following the traits of the Galaxy Note 9 and iPhone XS/XS Max.
As we lean to dive into the releases for October, there’s a ton of expectations and rivalry that has to be dealt with throughout the month, especially with the likes of Razer, Google, OnePlus and Huawei wandering around. Given that LG may have a good headstart, we should be intrigued by the launches following LG’s event.
