Borderlands Franchise is an absolute favourite by fans across the globe. The game was ported to the PlayStation 4 in the form of a collection and has ever since received an overwhelming response. The developers stated that as soon as the game was released on the PS4 they started wondering how they could take complete advantage of the PSVR. They stated,
“As soon as we brought the game to PS4 as part of The Handsome Collection in 2016, our brains immediately began cranking on how we could bring the experience to VR and take advantage of PS VR’s capabilities”
First and foremost they didn’t just convert it into a VR title but instead took the time to perfect everything and allow gamers to enjoy a very much complete experience. One of the most significant features added is the bullet-time, called “BAMF Time” which allows players to alter the speed of time and pull out unthinkable and amazing stunts, from 360° no scopes to fancy bullet work.
One thing which fans may be disappointed at is that Borderlands 2 VR is a singleplayer experience and players will not be able to enjoy all those co-op fun. But that isn’t completely a deal breaker, as one more twist added is that players can now for the first time ever drive their vehicles and rack up the roadkill count from the VR perspective by steering and accelerating using the PlayStation Move controller and aiming with the PSVR itself.
Borderlands 2 VR is set to release on December 14th this year and will surely be an interesting experience for a lot of fans.
