Forza has had an incredible week. With the launch of Forza Horizon 4, it seems like the folks over at the Forza team have taken notice of cheaters making their way into the game. In a tweet today, the folks over at Forza had a few words regarding the cheaters after they noticed players complaining about unobtainable race times. In addition to that, players affected by the leaderboard shall regain their rankings. In a tweet, the folks over at the Forza Support team said…
We are aware of the current issue with incorrect times on the leaderboards. Cheaters will be taken care of and the leaderboards will be corrected.
Handling with cheaters is definitely a challenge for game developers. Not only do they piss off a portion of the player base, but they may also ignite a backlash that forces players to abandon a game if not dealt with effectively. With games such as Forza Horizon 4, leaderboards are everything.
Given that the game has been out for less than a month, the folks over at Forza would be dedicating their time to monitoring their player base to ensure that they are offering the best experience possible for their players.
If you haven’t checked out Forza Horizon 4 yet, it’s worth a shot and even worth a pickup if you’re interested in racers. Not only is the game incredible mechanically, but it is an amazing treat graphically too as they picked up on the cues from Forza Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7.
