Rumors regarding OnePlus’s Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T had been wandering around the internet ever since the OnePlus 6T debuted late last month. With the company now finally releasing the Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 6T now comes in three colors, namely, Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and Thunder Purple.
Internally, we’re still looking at the same spec sheet inherited from the OnePlus 6T that includes the latest and greatest Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage and a waterdrop notch design. Externally, we get to see a very unique OnePlus color gradient. As denoted by leaks, the upper-rear portion of the phone is black, with the bottom portion featuring a unique purple gradient at the bottom.
According to OnePlus, the new color of the device is said to be available on November the 15th on their website. However, there’s no telling if the phone would be available with T-Mobile later this month as their website remains unscathed ever since the OnePlus 6T launch less than two weeks ago.
While we aren’t fans of the new color, something bugs us suggesting that this isn’t OnePlus’s last attempt at playing around with their color schemes, especially considering that they’ve been experimenting with a ton of glass back designs for quite a while now. On top of that, considering that OnePlus didn’t launch the OnePlus 6T in white tells us that it wasn’t all that successful.
If OnePlus is done with their launches now, we should set our eyes on the OnePlus 7 from now on. There’s definitely a whole lot that OnePlus could have done to make the OnePlus 6T even more appealing, but it seems like OnePlus saved that for next year’s OnePlus 7.
