Huawei has just dropped their first bomb for December, namely, the Huawei Nova 4, earlier this week. However, based on teasers and leaks, Huawei isn’t done yet. As we enter January, Antutu has just confirmed what the Huawei Honor V20 would pack internally under its shell.
Based on Antutu’s report, the Huawei Honor V20 would feature a Kirin 980 SoC, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the Huawei Honor V20 would carry PCT-AL10 as its model number along with a 48MP IMX 586 camera sensor to take some crazy sharp pictures. Regarding the display, we’re looking at a 2310 x 1080 display with the display size remaining a mystery for now.
The alleged Huawei Honor V20 scored over 274,000 points with the help of the newly introduced Kirin 980 SoC. That’s the same 7nm SoC that powers Huawei’s flagship phablet, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
Now that the specs are pretty much confirmed, we have a pretty good idea what the Huawei Honor V20 is all about. Huawei has already teased that they would be unveiling the device on January the 22nd, 2019, featuring some credible features and a whole lot of oomph for the upper mid-range market with a speculated sub-$500 price tag.
Competition in the upper-mid-range market has traditionally been dominated by the likes of Xiaomi and OnePlus. Considering how tough the competition has become, we’d be intrigued to see what types of tricks the Huawei Honor V20 would come with when it launches next month.
