As CES 2019 continues to unveil its fruits, Razer has made sure that it gets the spotlight it deserves. Following their long streak of gaming notebook releases, Razer has expanded itself into smartphones and now, into gaming monitors. As Razer’s smartphone lineup enters its second generation with the launch of the Razer Phone 2 late last year, this new monitor from Razer definitely seems to be following the route.
Razer Raptor Gaming Monitor Announced – Here’s The Specifications & Features
The newly-announced monitor definitely seems to be one of the major candidates you should be looking out for if you’re planning to pick up a high-end gaming monitor, especially when you have the moolah to afford it. The newly-announced monitor features an amazing minimalistic design along with very thin strips of bezels surrounding the panel itself. Being a monitor from Razer, the monitor also features Razer’s in-house Chroma RGB lighting along with a hint of that classy green Razer accent at the back.
The monitor measures in at 27-inches diagonally and features some incredible specs to keep up with the competition. The monitor is able to output 2560 x 1440 and features a 144Hz refresh rate to make e-sports that much more appealing for competitive gamers. Regarding response times, the display features a 7ms typical response time that could be dramatically cut down to 4ms and 1ms with the help of Overdrive and Motion Blur Reduction if you want to maximize your competitive gaming experience. For those who do rock AMD’s card, the display also supports AMD’s Freesync technology and also managed to cater a ton of users thanks to its fine-tuned display for content creation and HDR playback.
Regarding connectivity, there’s a decent selection of ports on the Razer Raptor. With the Razer Raptor, we’re looking at a single HDMI 2.0 port, a single DisplayPort 1.4 port, and two USB 3.0 passthrough ports.
For those who care about aesthetics, the Razer Raptor features incredibly thin bezels as well as a ton of RGB beneath the monitor’s stand. However, it doesn’t end there. Height and angle adjustment are also available. In addition to that, to make your table even cleaner, the Razer Raptor also comes with excellent cable management ducts behind the monitor’s stand to house and hide cables behind it.
