2019 is here, so are the renders of the upcoming 2019 lineup of MacBook Pros. Conceptual renders are coming in from the trusty Ishan Agarwal, along with a set of features that are slated to arrive in this year’s lineup of MacBook Pros.
Renders released by the tipster suggests a redesign of the MacBook Pro from the traditional design language we’ve been seeing for the past few years. Following the introduction of the newly-introduced simplistic design of the new 2018 iPad Pro, this year’s MacBook Pro lineup would feature the same flat design along with several design cues, suggesting Apple’s plans to move forward. If that wasn’t enough, it seems like Apple would be trimming down the bezels on this year’s lineup of MacBook Pros as well, allowing MacBook Pros to groom in a very modern design as well as allow the introduction of new display sizes this year.
Aside of the expected design improvements, there’s a strong sense of hype that suggests that the upcoming MacBook Pro lineup would also come with FaceID under the hood, the same technology that was introduced as a replacement for TouchID since the iPhone X. If true, this could potentially mean that Apple could not only be ditching the TouchID fingerprint scanner on the latest MacBook Pro lineup but could also mean that the upcoming MacBook Pros would be able to log you in regardless of the lighting conditions.
Specs regarding the upcoming lineup aren’t here yet. However, it wouldn’t be hard to speculate what the internals of the upcoming MacBook Pro may be aside from the usual memory and storage upgrade. With Intel now done with the launch of their 9th-gen Intel CPUs, it seems like the upcoming MacBook Pros very may use current-gen hardware to its disposal.
Furthermore, Additional reports from Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, via 9to5Mac suggest that the 13-inch MacBook Pro would now have 32GB of memory as an option at checkout, raising the bar for content creators who really crave for small-form-factor notebooks such as the 13-inch MacBook Pro we got here.
Given the details we have so far, expect to see these new devices launching in late 2019. For now, we have our eyes sighted on the upcoming 2019 lineup of iPhones.
