Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E Revealed – Samsung’s New Plan To Disrupt Apple’s iPad?

Samsung has prematurely unveiled their new Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E. As we head closer towards Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Unpacked event, it seems like Samsung may have more than a few devices to showcase at the keynote next week. By the looks of Samsung’s premature teaser for their Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E, it seems like Samsung is getting serious by the day to tap back into the tablet game.

The newly-released Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E has basically shown off the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E in its entirety. The device is 5.5mm thick and has a decent set of internals to satisfy the most productive of users. Featuring a Snapdragon 670 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, and a 7040mAh battery, Samsung isn’t joking at all.

Additional features regarding the device include its large 10.5″-inch AMOLED display, a quad-speaker setup, along with a 13MP sensor being held responsible for all of the shots taken with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E.

Samsung is expected to at least talk about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E at the Unpacked keynote along with a host of other devices to expand Samsung’s range of IoT devices.

One odd thing about the device is the lack of DeX support. As much as Samsung wants to promote their new desktop replacement, it seems like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E may not come with DeX support given that it was never mentioned in its official introduction video, nor was it mentioned on its product page. Seems like Samsung would continue to reserve it for their flagships like the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10. It would have been nice to see Samsung psuh their whole DeX technology with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E. Let’s hope Samsung proves us wrong given the market the S5E would appeal to.

Nonetheless, given the internals and the feature set Samsung is offering here. The device definitely seems to be compelling, regardless of its mid-range internals, that is, unless the price tag messes it up.

That aside, what remains to be seen is what price tag Samsung has planned to push the Samsung Galaxy S5E with. Given that Samsung hasn’t mentioned the price anywhere and the mid-range specs it accommodates, our instincts would speculate that the Samsung Galaxy S5E may very well retail between the $599-699 range.
