Xiaomi is continuing to reveal details regarding their upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9. As they continue revealing more details regarding their upcoming flagship, leaks have come out suggesting some major inclusions coming to the Xiaomi Mi 9’s battery this year.
Courtesy of the Chinese publication, MyDrivers, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is said to come with fast wired and wireless charging this year. Not only would this be a first from Xiaomi, but it would be a massive upgrade over the usual 10W fast wireless charging standard out there.
According to the publication, the Xiaomi Mi 9 charger would be able to deliver 27W worth of charge when wired. However, if you’re planning to go wireless, the Mi 9 would be able to take in upto 20W worth of charge. That’s more than double of what the usual 10W wireless fast-chargers offer. The charger output is said to be 5V/3A, 9V/3Aor 12V/2.25A.
Following the leaks, Xiaomi poured in a few more details regarding the Xiaomi Mi9. The display on the Xiaomi Mi 9 has finally been confirmed to be a 6.39-inch AMOLED display. In addition to that, Gorilla Glass 6 seems to be saying hi as well with the Mi 9.
According to the specifics revealed by Xiaomi, the Samsung AMOLED panel on the Xiaomi Mi 9 would be able to produce 600 nits worth of brightness alongside a decent 60,000:1 contrast ratio and would also pack an under-display fingerprint sensor under the hood. The display has also been said to feature up to 256 levels of brightness and would cover 103.5% of the NTSC wide color gamut.
With all of those details now out of the way, we’re keen to see how large of the battery the Mi 9 would pack under its hood given the upgrades the leaks have detailed above.
