Xiaomi may have initially invested in the startup, BlackShark. However, the company is more than just moving thanks to Xiaomi’s help. As we head deeper into 2019, it seems like it’s about time leaks regarding BlackShark’s next device, the BlackShark 2, starting leaking through the cracks.
According to a report by Chinese publication, MyDrivers, it seems like the BlackShark 2 is going to come with more than a few spec bumps. Based on the report, the BlackShark 2 would come with the latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. The feature set said to be included with the latest BlackShark 2 is said to pack the following features:
- Snapdragon 855 SoC
- Vapor-chamber liquid cooling
- 1080p OLED display
- 5mm chin
- Dual stereo speakers
- Pressure-based feedback vibrator
- An under-display / side-mounted fingerprint sensor
- 12GB LPDDR4x RAM
- 27W wired charging support
Regarding pricing, we’re expecting the device to hit the $600 mark given BlackShark’s history of pricing their devices as well as the given spec sheet. Furthermore, it seems like wireless charging may very well be a Xiaomi Mi 9 exclusive as there were no indications suggesting the inclusion of wireless charging according to the post. Although Xiaomi’s newly-introduced 27W wired charging would be present on the device if these leaks turn out to be true.
Whether this year’s BlackShark 2 features RGB lighting is yet to be seen. However, it should be an amazing feature for enthusiasts .
