Microsoft’s flop at E3 2013 took a major 180 on how the company runs the Xbox platform. And ever since then, Microsoft has proved again and again that they’ve learned their lesson. Following the incredible launch of the Xbox One S and Xbox One X, Microsoft is filling this year’s E3 with rumors of their new console, Scarlett, as well as a number of new games and plans.
Among their latest series of additions revealed at E3 2019 is the introduction of the Xbox One Game Pass to the PC, a major introduction to the PC. According to Microsoft themselves, Microsoft is going to be offering over 100 games to PC players with the subscription as well as a number of discounts ranging from 10% – 20% on DLCs and other add-ons in the Microsoft Store.
Games such as Metro Exodus, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Football Manager 2019, and Imperator: Rome would all be coming to the PC the exact day they’re launched for the Xbox One family of consoles.
Like other platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, Microsoft is trying to make the Xbox app a whole lot more like its competitors to keep up with speed. Improvements to the overall Xbox One UI, chats, game recording and others would also take a hit, bringing Xbox One players and PC players together on the PC.
Microsoft is offering an introductory offer for folks who want to jump into the new plan immediately for just $1. However, if you’re planning to jump in later, the Xbox Game Pass would be going for $5.
Furthermore, if you’ve been a subscriber of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the Xbox, you would also get the Xbox Game Pass for PC as well.
