The Last of Us 2 sequel to the best looking PS3 award-winning game is expected to make a release this year. Calling it the most anticipated PS4 game is definitely an understatement. A few days ago major gameplay and cutscene spoilers were leaked online by an unidentified group. This not only caused people to question Sony’s role in this fiasco.
This was definitely not the first time something like this had happened to Sony. People cancelled their orders for the game and went to all-out protest against Naughty Dog and Sony. However, Sony took swift actions and in an interview confirmed that the culprits have been narrowed down and are not affiliated with Naughty Dog or Sony for a fact.
This not only places Sony in the right zone but also suggests that if things were to spiral out of control a lot could have been damaged. Due to this whole Covid 19 situation, the game itself has had many delays and fans are eager to finally lay their hands on what seems to be Naughty Dog’s best masterpiece yet.
The publishers declined to comment further on the matter but confirmed that actions will be taken against those in the wrong and fans will be reassured justice. The investigation itself is ongoing at the moment they prefer not to jump over conclusions.
Sony has had a bad history with hackers and leaked information in the past and while not everything is nice and dandy they sure have come a long way and we shouldn’t expect any less from them.
