Just recently CD Projekt Red released brand new gameplay footage of “The Wire” representing their advancements over the past few years. From 2018 to 2020 the studio has worked tirelessly trying to fix up minor bugs and improving the visuals of the game.
The most recent demo is made out to be the final footage with room for minor adjustments. The game itself looks more promising than usual. For this occasion, a YouTuber managed to compile and sync the 2018 demo with the recent one and the results are staggering.
Not only do we see improvements in ambience, lighting and the overall setting but the textures themselves seem to fit better in the whole cyberpunk era. It almost seems as if CD Projekt Red tried to future proof the game while in production. The studio did confirm that it’ll be making a complete remaster for next-gen consoles but as of now, this looks impressive.
Moreover, entire models have been revamped from the early beta, lighting and shadows have been improved by a lot as well. It feels like a total remaster for someone who doesn’t know the difference. The whole atmosphere seems different and more realistic.
Not just that but it seems that CD Projekt Red did put their time to good use with impressive details and realistic textures unlike the ones shown during the 2018 demo. While the game is pushed back to November all we can do is wait and hope that the studio lives up to all the hype they’ve created.
