What To Expect From Xbox 20th Anniversary Celebration

According to Microsoft, this year’s Xbox 20th anniversary event will feature “some of our favorite moments from the past decade of Xbox.” There won’t be any gaming debuts or revelations, but as for now, Microsoft hasn’t commented on the premise of the upcoming event.

More Celebrations

During the Xbox FanFest celebration on Saturday, November 13, Microsoft will offer an Xbox-related trivia challenge at 2 PM PT / 5 PM EST. The deadline to register for FanFest is November 9 at midnight, and you may do so on the FanFest website. Microsoft is also expected to reveal some exciting news on its 20th-anniversary freebies at this event.

Also on November 15, Microsoft will be adding new Xbox goodies to the Xbox Gear shop in celebration of “all things Xbox,” but the company did not specify what these items might be. There will also be new badges to commemorate the twenty years of Xbox Live Game and Gold Pass subscription shown on the Xbox profile pages. Microsoft stated:

“The old badges which showcase how long you have been a member of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold will be replaced with a colorful new badge.”

After the event, these badges, which are mentioned below, will begin to circulate next week.

As part of the celebration of Xbox’s 20th anniversary, Microsoft is launching a special-edition controller and headset to commemorate the occasion. In addition to the anniversary, a mini-fridge is also in line to be released by Microsoft this year. In a play on the cliché that the Series X resembles a refrigerator, the Xbox mini-fridge debuts this year for $100.
