Mario Kart 9 Leaker Reveals Fresh Details on the Game

There’s even considerable debate about whether Mario Kart Crossroads should be called Mario Kart Crossroads, Mario Kart 9, Mario Kart 10, or something entirely different. However, fresh details about the speculated upcoming iteration of the long-running Mario Kart franchise have appeared online.

Given the fact that Nintendo internally considers Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit to be MK9, there has been a lot of misunderstanding over whether or not the upcoming Mario game would be labeled Mario Kart 9 or otherwise. Because the Nintendo Switch edition of Mario Kart, titled Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, was only a remastered update of MK8. So, that’s sure leaves some room for some muddled expectations.

However, it seems from the recent rumors that the Switch will be receiving another game soon, regardless of what it is named.

Alleged industry whistleblower who goes by the alias Leaky Panda has offered some information on what fans may anticipate from the upcoming release of the Mario Cart game. The greatest nugget, according to the leaker, is that Mario Kart 9 will include not just Mario and his friends, but also those from The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Pikmin, Splatoon, Kid Icarus, as well as many other IPs.

This isn’t the first time the Mario Kart series has experimented with cross-overs. While Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man, Mametchi, and Blinky made appearances in the Mario Kart Arcade GP franchise, R.O.B. the NES robot peripheral was an available character in Mario Kart DS.

‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’ has many crossovers under her belts such as stages and characters hailing from successful franchises like Splatoon, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and F-Zero.

Mario Kart is a natural match for Star Fox heroes, and an Arwing or Landmaster would be ideal vehicles for the series. Spaceships used by Pikmin characters to arrive on foreign planets may be converted into racing karts in the game.

A Mario Kart game with ARMS characters would work, but it’s not apparent what the characters would utilize as a vehicle. When it comes to amiibo-unlocked outfits for the Mii racer in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, this isn’t a huge surprise, but it’s also not out of the question.

In what may or may not be Mario Kart 9, there will be more than just character cross-overs. The items and courses may come from worlds other than the one most people associate with the Mario series.

According to a source who leaked the information, another drastic shift in Mario Kart 9 is that there will be no coins in this game.  A single item slot, it’s believed, will only hold one of two item types: a large one (three shells or a star) or a tiny one (a solo shell or a mushroom).

There’s no guarantee that Mario Kart 9 will be released by Nintendo any time soon. This info should be viewed with skepticism since it has not been confirmed what kinds of players, courses, or other game rules will be featured in whatever the next part of the series will be.
