League of Legends Spin-Off Game Available Exclusively to Netflix

Netflix has announced that Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story will be available on the Netflix Games service. It’s an Arcane-inspired rhythm platformer based on the League of Legends franchise.

Ziggs, a gangster obsessed with explosives and explosions, is the player protagonist in Hextech Mayhem. Ziggs, the brilliant inventor’s city made popular by Arcane, winds through the alleys of Piltover in every level of Hextech Mayhem. Ziggs must hop and avoid obstacles while escaping Piltover’s Enforcers, led by Arcane fan-favorite figure Heimdinger, to complete the game’s objective. Ziggs’ motions are also synced up with the music, making the game a hybrid of a rhythm game as well as a platformer.

If you’re a subscriber, you may play Hextech Mayhem for free on the Netflix Game service, the latest smartphone app that Netflix provides without any additional charge. With the same credentials Netflix users use to watch movies and programs, they can also get their hands on an ever-expanding collection of mobile games.

Hextech Mayhem has previously been released on consoles as well as on PC, but it grabbed interest when it was stated that it will be available on smartphones as Netflix exclusive deeming it the streaming platform’s most lucrative game launch to date.

Since its November launch, the site has used the Stranger Things titles as its main marketing tool. The arrival of Hextech Mayhem, which is linked to Arcane, illustrates Netflix’s commitment to providing games that are linked to its exclusive programming.

Hextech Mayhem is by far most certain to pique the interest of smartphone users and Arcane lovers out of the two League of Legends spinoffs that were released last year. Others interested in Piltover’s backstory may find some new information in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, while those who aren’t, may be turned off by the game’s premise.

Other than that, Ruined King is a vintage JRPG, which means it’s unlikely to appeal to casual gamers. With Netflix’s expansion of its Netflix Games service, Ruined King may be offered to customers as well.

Hextech Mayhem as well as Ruined King were released at the same time, aimed at attracting Arcane enthusiasts who were newly exploring League of Legends. Stretching League of Legends’ world outside the MOBA helps developer Riot to generate new revenue streams from the same creative labor they’ve been involved with for more than a decade. Ekko, a time-traveling Arcane character, will be featured in one of two upcoming League of Legends spinoff titles this year.

Netflix users may download the Netflix Games app for free on Ios and android devices. With Season Two already in the pipeline, the first season of Arcane is now available to stream exclusively on the service.
