Google released an animated doodle on Friday to commemorate the commencement of this year’s Women’s Cricket World Cup, wishing the participating countries well as the competition gets underway in New Zealand today. With animated characters wicket-keeping, batting, and fielding, the doodle depicts ladies in action in a cricket stadium.

A total of eight teams will compete in the World Cup over 29 days.
