Many console-exclusive ports are starting to make their way to Steam and other launchers, which is good news for PC gamers. This is fantastic news for anyone who has felt left out without owning a console, and it’s evident that the lines between console and PC are blurring, especially with Microsoft’s willingness to adapt their outstanding game library to both systems.
Game Pass has made things even more lucrative, and several series that were previously assumed to be console-only are now getting PC editions (even if it takes a year or so to adapt them over).
With several high-profile ports, awesome-looking Indie releases, and AAA titles that are guaranteed to look absolutely great on a high-end build, PC gamers have a lot to look forward to in 2022 and beyond. The former has been in the works for a long time and will cover all nine films in the sci-fi saga. Meanwhile, MLB: The Show has built a solid reputation in recent years, and the new installment appears unlikely to change that.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a must-have for JRPG lovers, and Square Enix’s remaster of the PS1 classic is set to bring a whole new generation of Chrono fans into the fold. The rest of the month is packed with smaller but potentially excellent games, while there is still an opportunity for more to be added to the schedule.

Packed with exciting albeit smaller releases, May 2022 caters to niche audiences. Salt and Sacrifice is the sequel to Salt and Sanctuary, a 2D action RPG that takes a few ideas from the Souls series. We Were Here Forever is an indie puzzle game that, so far, looks like it could be something special.
Evil Dead: The Game is arguably the biggest PC game schedule for May 2022, especially for fans of asymmetrical horror titles. That said, Sniper Elite 5 is also a huge release for its respective genres. Although it is unlikely that many major drops will be announced over the next few weeks, there is still time for a few more significant games to make the cut for May 2022.

What does the rest of 2022 hold for PC players? Fans of the Jet Set Radio franchise are eagerly awaiting Bomb Rush Cyberpunk, and Dinos Reborn looks to take the Ark: Survival Evolved formula to the next level.
Players should also get their hands on Gotham Knights, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, and Saints Row. 2022 should also see the release of the anticipated Pirate adventure, Skull & Bones. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl and Starfield will be massive releases as well. There are plenty of other titles that are expected to drop within the year, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

Major PC Games In Development With No Release Year Or A Post-2022 Estimation
Regardless of whether someone plays on PC or consoles, they should be intimately familiar with the “Release Date TBA” game. These titles are coming in the near or distant future, there just is no confirmation on when exactly that “future” will transition into the present. Beyond Good and Evil 2, The Elder Scrolls 6, and System Shock 3 will hopefully exist one day, but the information is currently limited. The wait for these titles to drop might be long but, hopefully, they will be worth it.
