After He ‘Lied’ About Knowing Drake, Brooklyn Judge Rules That Diddy’s ‘Superfly’ Actor Is Guilty of Serial Rape – Role

In a series of “sophisticated” attacks between 2013 and late 2018, Superfly actor and rapper Kaalan Walker was found guilty of raping six victims, three of whom were 16-year-old aspiring models, and sexually assaulting a seventh woman. Walker was sentenced to prison on Monday after being found guilty on all counts.

In response to the jury’s split decision, the actor, who acted in the 2017 film Kings with Halle Berry and as gang member Juju in the 2018 film Superfly, lowered his head and sobbed as the judgment from a Los Angeles jury was read aloud. He was found not guilty of all accusations against him, including two counts of forcible rape, against three of the ten victims in the case.

“I didn’t rape anybody, your honor. I’m sorry.” As Walker, 27 years old, was carried away in handcuffs after the jury had adjourned, he screamed, “I did not rape anyone.” At his sentencing, he may get a sentence of up to 100 years in prison. His attorney, Andrew Flier, immediately announced that he will file an appeal.

Walker was described as a “serial rapist” by Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Wallace during her closing statement last week. Walker was accused of mentioning Drake with most of his victims and promised introductions that never happened.

After six weeks of testimony, she and her colleague Yasmin Fardghassemi told jurors that Walker was able to overcome the defenses of his victims by combining their minor celebrity status with the “little blue checkmark” on their social media profiles. Walker then lured them to remote locations with promises of photoshoots or video gigs, according to the two attorneys.

“We believe that with this conviction, the jury has given these victims their voices back,” Wallace says in an interview with Rolling Stone. “It was a highly complex piece. With these females, he appealed to their aspirations and hopes, mentioning Drake in the process and using his relationship with Halle Berry as a means of gaining their confidence. The purpose of being there, after they arrived, was not to do photoshoots, but rather to attack them.”

According to authorities, more than 30 people have come forward with allegations of sexual assault against Walker. Three claimed victims whose complaints did not result in charges for a variety of reasons were permitted to speak as so-called past bad acts witnesses, which meant that their evidence was intended to demonstrate Walker’s proclivity for committing the crimes against which he was accused.

One of them was model Jada Everon, who talked to Rolling Stone after the judgment was announced and provided permission for her full identity to be included in the article.

In her testimony, Everon, now 23 and a resident of Las Vegas, explained to jurors that she was only 16 years old when Walker reached out to her over Instagram and offered her the opportunity to participate in a picture session. According to her testimony, she came from Fresno to see him and was raped in 2014.

“To be honest, I was taken aback when I learned of the guilty judgment. Some so many rapists get away with their crimes, and I was genuinely worried that he might be one of those individuals. But, at long last, justice has been served, and we have been heard. For me, this was seven years ago today.

Seven years of seeing him on social media, seeing his popularity grow, and witnessing him injure more women. As Everon explains, “I had almost given up hope, so to finally see this happen brings tears of delight.”

“He treated me in the same manner as he treated the others.” Drake was brought up by him. Drake was mentioned by name. He instilled a slew of aspirations and dreams in my heart and soul. What he stated was a striking statement. ‘I can make you famous in an instant,’ he said. You will have access to all of the prominent individuals I am acquainted with.’ It was a really dramatic scene.

I was so naive when I was that age. I was taking whatever he said at face value. Everything he stated seemed credible in my opinion. For the whole time the attack was taking place, every time I yelled “Stop” or sobbed, he would remark, “You’re such an immature child.”

I’m not going to be of assistance any longer. ‘I’m going to take everything away from you,’ I say. “It was like he turned on a switch and became a total predator,” Everon remembers.
