“picard” Director Jonathan Frakes Talks About the Unexpected “thrill” of Co-directing an Episode With “Star Trek: First Contact” Callbacks

Front and center as William T. Riker, Frakes compared once again returning to the beloved sci-fi franchise with his friends Patrick Stewart (Captian Jean Pierre Talbott), Brent Spiner (Lt Cmdr Data Simons), and John de Lancie( Capt Paul Grayson). Slipping on a pair of these shoes felt like slipping back into something comfortable yet exciting at the same time; it’s why he loves being able to act in this series so much!

Jonathan Frakes is back for another season of Picard, helming a special episode connected to his Next Generation film past. With luck on your side (or maybe kismet), you’ll be able to watch this incredible director works his magic once more!

“picard” Director Jonathan Frakes Talks About the Unexpected “thrill" of Co-directing an Episode With "Star Trek: First Contact" Callbacks

This time around, Frakes found himself behind the camera for an episode of Paramount’s new sci-fi series. He compared returning to this beloved franchise with friends Patrick Stewart ( fulfill his Picard duty), Brent Spiner, and John de Lancie who also star in it – slipping on a pair he hasn’t worn since TNG days!

The latest episode of Star Trek: Picard, “Fly Me to the Moon” was not just any ordinary chapter. This one had some serious First Contact vibes and could easily be mistaken for an installment from 1996 if it weren’t for all those pesky Borg Queen fans out there who know their stuff! In this scene between Captain Jean-Luc Picard ( throttling ) Duanierto)1985, you’ll get a chance to see how they’re preparing him before his big mission–an endeavor that will change both their lives forever…

The head of makeup for Andy Serkis’s UFLL team, which includes the actor who portrayed Gollum in “The Lord Of The Rings,” tells me that she was thrilled when he reached out to her about doing this project. She liked how Alice introduced nastiness and sex appeal into character design–the first queen of their race after all! And then there Annie—so fearless while working through four hours worth of rubber suits every day…I admire what must be an endurance test just getting ready these days let alone performing with actors wearing them on set

Instead of giving credit where it’s due, this writer is jealous that he didn’t think of putting his name on the list. He’s such an egoistic jerk!

The episode has several callbacks to First Contact and Frakes giving most (if not all) praise for those nostalgia feelings towards cast/crew members, especially makeup department head James MacKinnon lead creature designer Neville Page who did wonders with what little time they had left after six months working together while also managing their careers outside Star Trek too–something which made things much harder opportunities arose when people started searching high-and

“What? This design is so out there!” says the designer. He laughs and shakes his head in confusion, but then continues to explain how they were able to use some of First Contact’s references while expanding upon them with new tools for this project–and make it look good too!!

This season of Picard focuses heavily on Jean-Luc’s past and family, an exploration that continues after the 1994 film Generations when he learns his brother was killed in a fire. In TNG we met with Robert ( Jeremy Kemp), who became Captain before him; their nephew René also appeared as did David Birkin playing the second cousin twice removed -the late§ 1988 episode “The Inner Light” had featured another ancestor named)( Penelope Mitchell).

This year sees many return appearances including one played by none other than Queenie Chyan herself!

“I think it was always a part of Patrick’s makeup to be embracing, even when things were tough. He has this attitude that says he is going back into his past and looking at TNG episodes while we were shooting this one,” said John Frakes about his Drunken Adventure co-star Jean LucPicard’s family story which includes both good times like playing baseball with friends or getting an A on grade school report card but also some downer moments such as realizing you’re not smart enough for higher education due solely because your parents couldn’t afford private schooling.”

Frakes praises his other TNG buddies for their efforts on “Fly Me to the Moon”, specifically John de Lancie’s Q and Brent Spiner as Dr. Adam Soong whose relationship dates back centuries ago in Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season 1 episode ‘Thelayoutofnewochessboard’. All four characters are played by one actor (Brent).

Frakes speaks highly of two characters in Star Trek: The Next Generation, played by John de Lancie and Brent Spiner. He says that they are both very different from each other but have one thing in common which is what makes them so great at their jobs – “they love” or should I say ‘loved’ being involved with acting on this show!

I can’t help but think of my experience with Brent and De Lancie when I was just starting. They were such a gift during that scene in the diner, especially since they had been actors before too! It’s clear how much skill went into their performances-I feel honored to be able to watch them now as well.”

When Frakes found himself face-to-face with Alison Pill’s Agnes Jurati, he realized that this woman was not only an amazing actor but also had a gift for bringing his characters to life.

The other character in “Fly Me To The Moon,” who had some big moments and revelations is played by actress till. When I first met her she came off as very shy however after getting comfortable talking about what motivates him through acting decisions, this person merge right into the conversation without hesitation which made sense because you can tell

Her ability to find levity in anything is completely admirable but her sense of timing and presence on-screen is mesmerizing. The way she disappears into each role, making you believe that this person could be real makes for an unforgettable experience.”
