Things in Riverdale have changed dramatically since Season 6 began. Not necessarily for the worse, but definitely for the creepy. Not only did the program add supernatural aspects for the first time as part of an inverse reality called Rivervale, but Kiernan Shipka played Sabrina Spellman from Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for a brief appearance. But that’s far from the conclusion of the story.
Cheryl and Sabrina teamed together to put a revenge curse on the entire town after Cheryl discovered that Betty, Archie, and Jughead’s ancestors burned Cheryl’s cousin, Abigail, at the stake, accusing her of being a witch. Now, unlike Sabrina and Cheryl’s spell-casting, Rivervale has more than one mystical element. Fans have witnessed a devil visit town, Archie’s heart being physically plucked from his chest, and the entire town joining a witch cult. Things have never been more supernatural and fantastical!
