American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi expect their first child.
After winning American Idol in high school in 2011, his rapid rise to fame took a devastating blow to his career with a series of country hits and at the age of 22.
Country singer Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi Dugal McCreery shared the happy news this fall that they are expecting a boy to be their first child.
“There’s a little guy on the way,” Scotty told People in an interview released on June 21st. “It’s a new territory for us, but I can’t wait to dive in and meet a little guy.”
Former American Idol winner said the couple was “always talking” about having children. But at the time I wanted to make sure it was correct.
“We always wanted kids, but in the early days we wanted to travel, go out, see things, and experience life,” he explained. “We lived a lot and did some cool things, so now it seems like a good opportunity to calm down and grow our family.”
The couple is ready to grow their family. Meanwhile, the “You Time” singer said one thing they weren’t prepared for was knowing that they had a boy.
Thanks for all the kind messages, yall! Gabi and I are so excited to welcome little man this fall 😁🙌🏼👶🏼

“I was the only boy on either side of my family and the last McCreeley boy there,” Scotty shared. “Gabi came from two sisters in her family, so I thought she was a girl, but we were surprised by the boy.””
Gavi, 28, told people that her career as a pediatric nurse “in many ways prepared me for motherhood.” Her husband is very grateful.
“I’m so nervous that it would be great for me,” Scotty said of his wife’s expertise. “When the baby coughs, I’m Gabi, are you okay? What’s happening here?” Knowing that she has that experience, I’m huge I think it will be. ”
“She is my best friend,” he told E-News to commemorate her first wedding anniversary, “she enjoys spending her life together.””
The fun continues as a family of three, as Scott and Gabi will bring their babies in the future.
“I think we’re trying to get another bus out and build a small nursery for it,” Scotty told People. “Maybe not every week. I’ll see how the baby behaves in the future, but it’s selfish to have Gabi and the baby together. I don’t want to miss it, with him Whatever is growing. ”
