Recap of Episode 12 of Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story
The episode begins with a poster advertising the All Japan Girls High School Golf Doubles Championship. According to Oikawa Kaede, Athena established this competition just to pull Aoi Amawashi into the spotlight now that she is in high school. And her (Aoi’s) performance in the under-15 championships was merely a warm-up for this tournament. Himekawa Mizuho, who is sitting directly in front of Oikawa, believes she is correct. Oikawa goes on to explain that Aoi’s mother was a very talented golfer when she was younger and that Aoi’s father was ranked second in the United States of America. She then claims that Aoi’s mother would do anything for her, including organizing a tournament specifically for her.
The two characters are then shown in the following image. Eve and Aoi are practicing together after Eve’s recent loss. Shinjou Amane stands back and observes them both. The Golf Doubles Championship qualifying begins. Saotome Ichina goes out early in the morning to inspect the golf course. Aoi and Eve arrive at the course later, along with everyone else. Amane and Ichina arrive to provide Aoi and Eve with directions and other specifics about the pitch.
Aoi starts the game with a 230-yard shot, while Sato, another high schooler, makes a 250-yard shot. Meanwhile, Eve begins with a stunning shot that travels more than 260 yards. Eve had four birdies, one eagle, and one bogey before halftime, while Aoi had five birdies and no bogey. Later, we see Kaede and Mizuho discussing the winners of other qualifications after learning that Aoi and Eve had also won.
Eve and others from the Raiou academy begin their trek the next morning. They’re all traveling to the golf championship, where Eve will make her debut. After the credits, we see Eve and Aoi arrive at the hotel and meet the other participants. Eve meets up with Kuyo Iseshiba again. Eve then summons Mizuho, who appears in front of her.
