The Korean remake of The Good Doctor is an American medical drama television. Sony Pictures Television and Kim worked out and bought on David Shore creator of the Fox medical drama House, to develop the series.
The series stars Freddie Highmore as Shaun Murphy, a young surgical resident at the fictional San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. The series debuted in September 25, 2017 and in March 2022, the series was renewed for a sixth season.
News of the show renewal came on March 30 and has consistently done well for the network as season 5 received an average of 10.5 million total viewers. Streaming partners Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+.
In May 2014 CBS Television Studios began development on the American remake of the South Korean medical show Good Doctor with Daniel Dae Kim as producer.
Season 5 finale of The Good Doctor included the loving wedding between sweethearts Shaun and Lea. David Shore revealed what the Season 6 premiere which has already been filmed along with the second episode which will consist of:
“The first episode has a huge amount of intensity and fun, but it’s difficult because it’s the immediate fallout. Lim’s journey is going to be a big part of it, we have some nice things planned for Glassman and, of course, nothing but wedded bliss for Shaun and Lea”.
Season 6 of The Good Doctor will premiere but ABC did confirm its fall line-up and medical drama is sticking to the 10p.m EST slot in the upcoming season. The sixth season will have two new recurring actors: Brandon Larracuente and Savannah Welch.
Viewers are expected to have a continuous mix of happiness and tragedy moving forward. The understanding between people and the different aspects that see the world and have different opinions has something that should be accepted through the objective of the drama showcased.
