Fortnite is Vibin’ all summer long in a new season that adds two Lucasfilm classics to the game, as well as new weapons and fan favorites. This follows last season’s Collision event, which generated so much excitement that the people of the battle royale island are in desperate need of a break. That’s exactly what this summer’s event, Vibin’, wants to deliver in spades.
Chapter 3 Season 3’s battle pass introduces a slew of new characters, culminating with Darth Vader, the Star Wars supervillain who wields his trademark crimson lightsaber. Indiana Jones is the season’s other special guest star, although gamers will have to go through an in-game event to obtain his legendary fedora and coat later on.
A returning component, the hamster ball-like vehicles known as Ballers, is the most significant change to gameplay this time around. These were last seen in Chapter X and now include a battery for a limited but still enjoyable roll around the map. In addition, a new biome called Reality Falls has arrived in Fortnite.
This new forest section contains mushrooms to bounce off of and wildlife to ride, giving the battle royale hijinks a new dimension.
The Vibin event is currently underway in-game and will run until the end of August. In the interim, there will undoubtedly be a few more new crossover characters, but gamers can begin preparing for their own Dark Lord of the Sith.
To acquire access to the newly announced skins, including that of a Darth Vader, users must first purchase a Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 battle pass. This battle pass is notable in that it costs 950 V-Bucks. On-Page 10 of the Battle Pass, you’ll find the Darth Vader skin.
With the use of Battle Stars, players can unlock a variety of Darth Vader skin customizations.
Sigil of the Empire Harvesting Tool, Viper Probe Droid Back Bling, Lambda Class Shuttle Glider, Darth Shader Wrap Tie Squadron Contrail and Imperial March Emote are among the cosmetics available.
Later in the season, battle pass owners will be able to obtain the Indiana Jones skin. The Indiana Jones skin will also be accompanied by a bevy of cosmetics. The battle pass will be available for roughly three months, giving players almost three months to gain everything it has to offer.
Reality Falls is a new biome to the island in the upcoming season. In this forest-like atmosphere, you’ll find fungi like mushrooms, both regular and bouncy, as well as purple trees. This season introduces a new feature called storm illness.
“If you stay in the storm for too long cumulatively in a match, you’ll develop storm sickness, a disease that accelerates the storm’s deterioration of your health,” Epic Game said in a statement. But don’t worry: storm sickness is never unexpected; you’ll get a warning if you’re on the verge of having it. Fortunately, storm sickness can be treated by simply escaping the storm. If you re-enter it, though, it will impact you again right away.”
