In March, Xiaomi announced the Black Shark 5 series, which contains three smartphones: the Black Shark 5, the Black Shark 5 Pro, and the Black Shark RS. These are now only accessible in China, however, the lineup will go global next month, with Malaysia as the first stop.
Expected day of launch:
The Malaysian subsidiary of Black Shark used social media to announce the June 8 introduction of the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro in Malaysia. The event will kick off at 7 p.m. local time and will be broadcast live just on the company’s Facebook and TikTok pages.
The Black Shark 5 RS will not be available at the June 8 launch, and it’s unknown whether the business would bring it to Malaysia later or if only the vanilla and Pro editions will be available in the Asian country.
The Malaysian pricing for the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro has yet to be disclosed by Black Shark, but since both smartphones were released a few months ago, we already know what’s on offer.
Taking the Black Shark 4, for example, the ordinary model arrived in the UK and Europe two months after its introduction in China, however, the Black Shark 4 Pro took a year to reach global markets. Hopefully, the same delays will not occur this time, as there are no guarantees, so be prepared to wait.

Finally, there’s the Black Shark 5 Pro, which, with to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, OLED display, and superior cameras, will be the one that serious gamers will want to get their hands on.
The Black Shark 5 Pro comes with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage. The Black Shark 5 Pro weighs 220.00 grams and is 163.86 x 76.53 x 9.50mm (height x width x thickness). It came in two colours: Heavenly White and Meteorite Black.
