It is an anime adaptation of a manga series written by Yasuhisa Hara. The series is produced by Pierrot and featured music is composed by Minako Seki. The series premiered from June 4, 2012, to February 25, 2013, while the series ran for 38 episodes. After the compilation, Funimation announced the exclusive streaming rights to the series, and later it received an English dub.

The opening theme of the series is “Pride” by Nothing’s Carved in Stone while the ending themes are “Voice of Soul” by Takumi Ishida, “Destiny Sky” by Yūki Wakai, and “Never Ending” by Dasoku for a musical twist.

The characters in the series include:

  • Ei Sei
  • Chou Tou
  • Qin
  • Chou Tou Army.
  • Han O Ki.

As the representation of the kingdom of Qin about Xin, a war-orphaned slave as a train to vigorously co-operate with fellow slaves Piao had a dream to become one of the Greatest Generals of the Heavens.

The story portrayed the period 245 B.C. in China during the Warring States period. With a story of a servant named Shin fighting for the state of Qin.

A few months later, Hyou returned to the village on the verge of death as an urge for Shin to travel to another village full of vagabonds and thugs.

You, Ei Sei the current King of Qin with a lookout for the village that is called Ka Ryo Ten. Later in the series, Shin learns that his best friend served as a body double for Ei Sei, and was wounded in a power struggle for the throne. Shin decides to grab the precious opportunity and aid the young king in defeating his younger half-brother and reclaiming the Qin throne as an ultimate aim to conquer. The voice actors of the anime:

  • Li Xin is voiced by Masakazu Morita.
  • Wang Qi is voiced by Rikiya Koyama.
  • Yang Duan He is voiced by Mie Sonozaki.
  • Teng is voiced by Akio Kato.
  • Yin Zheng is voiced by Jun Fukuyama.

It the broadcast on Japanese Local Television Networks including NHK BS Premium and NHK General TV. Kingdom Season 4, will be easily available on Crunchyroll. The Kingdom manga had sold over 87 million copies as of February 2022 makes it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

The comic won the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Grand Prize in 2013. Kazuya Monma, Kenichi Imaizumi, and Noboru Takagi are the current Kingdom directors while Signpost Studio is producing the anime.

Season 4 of the Kingdom anime will have at least 26 episodes an increase from Season 3 with 26 episodes. Kingdom Episode 16 is likely to release on 24 July 2022. stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming episodes.
