Uncle Yosuke, a 34-year-old man has spent 17 years in a coma. Yosuke ultimately claimed to be in an alternate world called Granbahamal which later demonstrate the magical abilities he gained in Granbahamal.
Takafumi decides to take him as Yosuke struggles with modern technology. With a representation in Granbahamal Yosuke shows Takafumi his memories of a female elf named Elga whom he saved to relive the time. Takafumi realizes Yosuke that Elga was in love with him.
Takafumi’s childhood friend whom he reunited after years has a crush on Takafumi. Yosuke’s magic ability was a clear-cut show from the moment she came into Takafumi’s apartment while spending her days at Takafumi’s apartment as a way of replaying Yosuke’s adventures in the other world.
Yosuke explains the attack and Elga proclaims that he is in her debt which Takafumi realizes from the video of his memories that Elga thought was him proposing.
Yosuke sold the ring to pay off his perceived debt and abandoned Elga in a random town, leading to her following him everywhere for 17 years focusing on the main storyline.
Yosuke hates RPG games as he can never follow the story, revealing that once he was supposed to cure the broken heart of an Ice Witch named Mabel. He ultimately forgot as he killed the dragon without the sword and left Mabel to her misery. The series has 1.8 million copies in circulation with a remarkable record.
