Why Did Naruto Cut His Hair? What Cause him to Cut His Beautiful Hair?

One of the most well-known anime, Naruto, has amassed a great deal of popularity and recognition among viewers. Due to its well-liked and engaging plot, the anime series Naruto is frequently discussed. Hayato Date is the director of the TV Tokyo and Studio Pierrot-produced Naruto anime. The first Naruto anime episode debuted on October 3, 2002, and the series ended on February 8, 2007. 220 episodes in all were shown on TV Tokyo.

Particularly in coming-of-age novels that follow a character’s physical growth from infancy to adulthood, a fictional character who has gained the support of fans is vulnerable to criticism if he is not regularly presented in a way that complements how he was initially introduced. Fans of anime can be incredibly critical of any aesthetic alteration when it involves well-known characters because haircuts and facial expressions play a huge role in the entire aesthetic. Unfortunately, Naruto fits this description of a character.

The following 85 episodes were pitched by the filmmakers using the plot components after the first 135 episodes were adapted from the original Manga of the same name. However, the plot was not included in the manga. On September 10, 2005, the English-dubbed version of the program was broadcast by Viz media, the organization in charge of licensing anime in the US. The program ended on January 31, 2009, and it was broadcast on Toonami on the American Cartoon Network.

One of the most extroverted anime characters ever, Naruto’s spiky blond hair rapidly became a symbol of his demeanor. The fact that the appearance was physically captivating didn’t hurt, but it also brought to mind Naruto’s father, Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage. After growing up with it throughout the Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden series, many fans grew accustomed to Naruto’s distinctive hairdo and anticipated seeing him wear it.

The purpose behind Naruto’s hair cut

Different hairstyles for Naruto

The decision to shave off the hair of the main character in the television series Naruto was made for a number of reasons. Here are a few of the following explanations:

The most typical argument is that Naruto’s hair was cut short because the animators needed a quick animation. The animators can more easily control the dynamics of animation by creating characters with shorter hair.

Personality Development

Haircuts are said to aid in character development and personality transformation. Altering one’s hairdo is regarded as the start of a new life. His hair may have been short because the character’s makers sought to give him an edge.

A Senior Look

Short hair gives off a strong, mature appearance. Throughout the 220 episodes that were broadcast on television, Naruto’s personality underwent significant alteration. An animated character with a mature appearance was required as Naruto got older and his responsibilities rose. Therefore, it’s possible that the developers considered modifying the hairdo.

Fans first met an older, extremely different-looking Naruto in The Last: Naruto the Movie. The exuberant, spiky hair that set him apart from everyone else was gone. Instead, Naruto received a “buzz cut,” which is a brief and uncomplicated haircut. Fans instantly objected to Naruto’s new appearance, but the hairdo persisted because Naruto had worn it for the majority of his son Boruto’s series by this point. This raises the question of why Naruto originally chopped off his hair.

Character Differentiating

Naruto’s desire to seem different from his father Minato Namikaze was consistently depicted in the storyline. The character of Naruto was made to cut his hair in order to emphasize this distinction and to establish himself as a distinct individual.

Hinata’s Recommendation

The idea to cut Naruto’s hair short can also be attributed to Hinata, the man’s wife. Perhaps Hinata proposed the modification because she thought Naruto’s hair would look better with it.

Here Are the Comments from the Fans

Fans become attracted to characters when they become invested in them, especially if the characters are from an anime series like Naruto. The fans may or may not accept alterations made to the character in the future. Unfortunately, Naruto falls under that category. The majority of followers have responded to the entire hairdo change in a fairly disgusting manner. The directors attempted to frame the modification as a coming-of-age perspective. Directors and creators should have given it more consideration because hairstyles and facial expressions have always been important in anime.

There are a few hypotheses about that. Naruto is aging, for starters. It wouldn’t be entirely surprising if Naruto has started going bald given that he is now married with two growing children, one of whom is just as difficult to manage as he was when he was younger. Since maintaining a short haircut is a sign of an adult who is well-groomed, the hairdo may also be a reflection of Naruto’s maturity.

That theory, however, may not be strong enough to stand on its own since Sasuke, Kakashi, and Shikamuru have all maintained their hairstyles for the most part and are still considered to be relatively responsible adults.

Another explanation is that Naruto sought a hairdo that was different from his father Minato’s signature spiky locks in order to set himself apart from him. It’s likely that Naruto wanted to carve out his own path and develop his own style, and changing his appearance was a smart way to do that even though he was obviously proud of his father.

One of the most well-known figures in the world of anime is Naruto. His defining characteristic is his spikey blond hair. The directors’ intended effect has been achieved successfully. Naruto’s new hairdo does give him a somewhat more adult and responsible appearance. The supporters are having a hard time accepting this adjustment, though. Naruto was depicted as an adult with a “buzz cut” and an entirely new appearance in The Last: Naruto the Movie. For many fans, who were already accustomed to Naruto’s defining hairdo, it was nothing short of a shock.

Or perhaps Masashi Kishimoto is simply trying to give the figure a fresh appearance to mark the beginning of a new period of transformation. It wouldn’t be the first time that authors had used an anime character in that way. Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach, has modified Ichigo Kurosaki’s hairdo. The strawberry blond Soul Reaper’s hair is now neat and tidy rather than wild and unruly. Ichigo’s hair is also significantly shorter now that he is married to Orihime and has a child of his own. In fact, it is similar to Tony Stark’s hairstyle in the Avengers: Infinity War film from Marvel Studios. It’s probable that Kishimoto created Naruto’s present appearance as a simple way to denote a shift in culture.

Overall, the original creators have yet to publicly state the motivations behind these changes made to the anime. However, as you are aware, the fans have offered their opinions and theories. Many people still like Naruto, and the nostalgia of watching him become an adult makes the fans adore him even more.
