Fortnite Skins for Destiny 2 Have Leaked Ahead of a Potential Crossover Event

In the roughly eight-year history of Destiny and Destiny 2, leaks that either tease or completely expose Bungie’s newest content get out in advance of big announcements and game updates.

Prior to the upcoming Destiny 2 reveal event, which is scheduled to air on August 23 and is expected to give players a first peek at the upcoming expansion, it doesn’t seem much different. One of these several leaks, meanwhile, concerns a crossover event with Fortnite and new armour that guardians will be able to obtain rather than the game’s future expansion.

Ginsor, a well-known leaker in the Destiny community who has previously provided correct information regarding earlier seasons and expansions, posted the information on Twitter. They shared a picture of the armour sets that will be arriving to Destiny 2 as part of the Fortnite crossover, one set for every class of players and modelled by well-known Fortnite skins.

The armour set for Titans appears to be Black Knight-inspired, the Warlocks’ new armour will be based on the Drift skin, and the Hunters’ new armour will be Omega-inspired.

Ginsor’s leak is one of many that have appeared on social media, many of which came from Twitter user Josh Hunt, foreshadowing both the impending Season 18 and Destiny 2’s next expansion, Lightfall.

Season 18 may have the working title Season of the Plunder and focus on the long-awaited return of Aramis, the revival of King’s Fall, and a pirate-themed season overall. Regarding Lightfall, sources indicate that the expansion will feature a new ally race, a struggle against Calus, a trip to Neptune in quest of an artefact that The Witness wants, and the Strand subclass as the next one.

However, as it relates to Ginsor’s leak, it is noteworthy in and of itself because it is Destiny 2’s first significant crossover with a different, non-Bungie game brand. For the greater part of five years, Fortnite has been one of the most popular video games in the entire globe.

It has crossover material with some of the largest entertainment franchises, such as Star Wars and Marvel. It won’t be shocking to see Epic Games release new Fortnite skins inspired by Destiny in the near future given the new armour sets coming to Destiny 2.

Numerous leaks also suggest that Bungie is working on crossovers for Destiny 2 aside from the Fortnite one. New leaks suggest a crossover with Fall Guys may be approaching, but no other information has been revealed as of this writing.
