Lenora Hills, California from Stranger Things Season 4 is Real, Book Now on AirBnb

The first volume of Stranger Things season 4 will be released in just one day, and we are so excited for the epic binge session these seven brand-new episodes will be! The upcoming season’s Hawkins crew will be divided, as we can see from the teaser, because Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is currently in Russia, and the Byers have moved to California. They take Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in and transport her across the nation because they think Hopper perished in the explosion at the Starcourt Mall in season 3.

Although the gang is back in Hawkins, Stranger Things season 4 has finally been released, and there are many new places to discover.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1: What’s Coming?

With the release of Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 only a day away, fans are eagerly anticipating the seven new episodes that promise to deliver an epic binge session. Here’s what we know so far.

The Hawkins Crew: New Beginnings and New Locations

In the new season, the beloved Hawkins crew will be separated as Jim Hopper (David Harbour) finds himself in Russia, and the Byers family, along with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), relocate to California. This move occurs after Joyce takes Eleven in, following the belief that Hopper died in the tragic explosion at the Starcourt Mall in season 3.

Spring Break Reunion

Season 4 will also mark a Spring Break reunion between Eleven and Mike (Finn Wolfhard). Fans can look forward to meeting a new character named Argyle (Eduardo Franco) in California. He’s a friend of Jonathan’s who works at a local eatery named Surfer Boy Pizza.

The gang is divided up in the fourth season of the highly anticipated Netflix hit, unlike the majority of the first three, which required the Duffer Brothers to think outside the box when choosing filming locales, particularly Lenora Hills, the show’s new primary town.

Season 4’s Spring Break will soon arrive, which is fantastic since Eleven and Mike will be reconnecting (Finn Wolfhard). A new character named Argyle (Eduardo Franco), a buddy of Jonathan’s who works at a nearby restaurant called Surfer Boy Pizza, will be introduced to us while we’re still in California.

We can answer your questions about the Byers’ current residence, including where it is and whether it is a real place.

Is there a real Lenora Hills in California?

The Mystery of Lenora Hills

If you’re curious about the location the Byers now call home, it’s named Lenora Hills, California. Interestingly, Lenora Hills and Lenora Hills High School are both fictional creations. Stranger Things did not film the Lenora Hills scenes in California but chose New Mexico instead.

Filming Locations

Here’s a table showcasing the main filming locations:

LocationScenes
Albuquerque, NMLenora Hills
Atlanta, GeorgiaHawkins
Vilnius, LithuaniaRussia

The real-life high school for the Lenora Hills scenes is Eldorado High School in Albuquerque.

The Byers and Eleven settle in a community in California called Lenora Hills. Lenora Hills, like Hawkins, Indiana, is a made-up location. Lenora Hills High School, which is a fictional institution, is attended by the characters.

The first episode of the new Netflix series begins with Eleven, Johnathan, and Will settling into Lenora Hills High, where they have just transferred. Fans are unsure if the incredibly authentic scene is indeed in California.

Is Kamchatka an actual location?

Given the amount of snow and the presence of Russian-speaking characters in the clip, it is likely that Hopper was taken to the Soviet Union, as stated after season three.

The Lenora Hills sequences for Stranger Things weren’t filmed in California; instead, they were in New Mexico. Eldorado High School is the name of the actual high school, which is situated in Albuquerque. Additional filming sites for season 4 include Vilnius, Lithuania for the Russian scenes and Atlanta, Georgia for the Hawkins scenes.

The fourth season of the wildly popular “Stranger Things” Netflix series finally launched last Friday, to to the pleasure of its hordes of fans around the world. The complex tale, set in 1986 and spread over nine massive episodes (the final two of which won’t air until July 1), divides the cherished Hawkins, Indiana residents at the show’s core and takes place in three different places. (Please be aware that this post contains numerous spoilers.)

The majority of the action is still taking place in Hawkins, where Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) and his other high school heroes are engaged in combat with Vecna, a brand-new evil force from the Upside Down. Former police chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is incarcerated in a remote jail on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia, nearly 5,000 kilometers distant. He is alive, but not well. The Byers family has since moved to Lenora Hills, a made-up Californian town with wide, open streets and gorgeous mountains that appears to have been plucked straight from the set of “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” thanks in part to Dr. Sam Owens’ (Paul Reiser) assistance.

Even though it’s fictitious, we can’t wait to find out more about Lenora Hills when Stranger Things season 4 debuts on May 27. Be sure to return to Netflix Life for all of our coverage of the upcoming season!

Key Points

  • Season 4 introduces Spring Break and a new character, Argyle, who is a friend of Jonathan’s.
  • The Byers and Eleven move to the fictional Lenora Hills, California.
  • Filming locations include Albuquerque, NM, for the Lenora Hills scenes, Atlanta, Georgia, for the Hawkins scenes, and Vilnius, Lithuania, for the Russian segments.

IS KAMCHATKA A REAL PLACE?

At the end of season 3 of Stranger Things, fans were left with many questions. One of the biggest was what happened to Hopper, who seemingly died in the finale.

However, a post-credits scene revealed that he is alive and well…but in the Soviet Union. This has led to speculation about how he ended up there and what his fate will be in season 4.

While we don’t know for sure what will happen, the fact that he is alive and presumably being held captive by the Russians suggests that his storyline will be a central part of the new season.

Whatever happens, it’s sure to be an exciting ride for fans of the show.

In the hit TV show The Stranger, the character Adam Price is taken to a place called Kamchatka. The show has had viewers wondering if this is a real place, and it turns out that it is. Kamchatka is a peninsula located in the Russian Far East, which is across the Bering Strait from Alaska.

However, the scenes based in Russia are actually filmed in Lithuania. This location was chosen for its similarity to Kamchatka, as well as its proximity to other countries in Europe where the show is filmed. Lithuania offers a variety of locations that can double for different parts of the world, making it an ideal choice for a show like The Stranger.

The Russian scenes of the film were shot in Vilnius, Lithuania – which also served as the filming location for HBO’s Chernobyl.
