Star Wars: Eclipse is a High Republic Game by the Makers of Heavy Rain

In a market that is now packed with Star Wars games, Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse could offer a refreshing difference in pace. The developer, likely most notable for the investigative experience game Heavy Rain and the futuristic title Detroit: Become Human, declared its impending Star Wars entry during The Game Awards 2021.

In the same way, as other of the developer’s previous releases, Star Wars Eclipse will clearly highlight an expanding story that can be capable through various different playable characters.

Not much else is had some significant awareness of the upcoming game, yet it’s probably going to be numerous years away as of now. Normally, fans have been desperate to fill in the gaps with their own assumptions, speculations, and hopes for the mysterious Star Wars Eclipse, yet it will likely be sometime before any of them are affirmed or substantiated.

From what players really do realize about Star Wars Eclipse, maybe the game will be moving in several interesting directions, including featuring the High Republic unexpectedly in a computer game. This underused setting should be used more in Star Wars content, and a game with the same setting released meanwhile while fans hang tight for Star Wars Eclipse could be perfect.

Star Wars Eclipse’s Setting

Lucasfilm Games and Quantic Dream have said that Star Wars Eclipse will focus on a unique story with a one-of-a-kind cast of characters, and will investigate a brand-new High Republic setting.

The game will also highlight areas of the cosmic system’s Outer Rim, as gamers work through the selection of playable characters to wind around together a story and accomplish a fair harmony. Like previous Quantic Dream titles, Star Wars Eclipse’s story can be moved toward in a couple of ways, giving players decisions as well as opportunities as they explore this underutilized Era.

One of the most interesting aspects of this setting is that being the brilliant time of the Jedi is considered. In spite of the fact that players have seen the Jedi in various degrees of noticeable quality, most Star Wars content focuses on the devastation of Order 66 and the repercussions as just a handful of Jedi survive in the world for quite a long time afterward.

In the Prequel Trilogy, audiences get a glimpse of what the universe resembles with the Jedi in a position of force, however, currently, the cracks are showing in their power base as defilement and haughtiness seep in. It will be fascinating to see this side of the Star Wars ordinance, where the Jedi that fans think they know could work in altogether different ways to how the situation is playing out.

Exploring A Different Era

Star Wars standard is extraordinarily vast – almost more so than some other fictitious universe on the planet – yet a ton of the storytelling content released in films, TV shows, books, comics, and computer games tends to focus on a seriously tight slice of history.

There are of course a couple of exceptions, yet the larger part will generally retell the same few decades according to different perspectives and in different parts of the universe, as opposed to investigating some of the more distant areas of the timeline. Fans realize that the films have had a single-disapproved of obsession with the Skywalker family, and while this has yielded some of the most well-known movies in present-day times, it also leaves a lot of other story possibilities behind.

Some games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic have successfully investigated altogether different eras to the ones that players and audiences are more used to, and have shown the Star Wars universe thousands of years before Darth Vader at any point wore his cap or Han Solo got behind the controls of the Millennium Falcon.

BioWare’s RPG has gotten basic praise and has been a firm #1 with fans since its release in 2003, yet it’s easy to see the reason why developers could like to stay in the safer and more recognizable areas of Star Wars impressively long timeline. In any case, this is also why a game set inside the High Republic Era could function admirably.

In spite of the fact that not necessarily a timeframe all fans will be know all about, there are a lot of elements that they’ll be aware of, similar to the Galactic Republic and the Jedi, and it’s two or three hundred years eliminated from the more famous periods.

As the trailer for Star Wars Eclipse previously showed, it looks like there will be both natural locations and characters highlighted, which provides some useful touchstones for any new story to expand upon. This combination of recognizable and new could be great and allows the story to face challenges and proceed to new ground while not being excessively strange to audiences.
