Slasher villains are the stuff of nightmares. They’re the reason we check under our beds at night and keep our doors locked tight. They’re the monsters that we’re afraid to let into our homes, for fear that they’ll hurt us or those we love.

The Prowler is a slasher villain who first appeared in the 1981 film of the same name. He’s a masked killer who stalks and kills his victims with a pitchfork. The Prowler is a terrifying figure, and his ability to blend in with his surroundings makes him all the more dangerous.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

It is a 2010 horror comedy that subverts the slasher genre by making its villains the protagonists. Tucker and Dale are two hillbillies who become the target of a group of college kids who mistake them for psychopathic killers.

While Tucker and Dale are more bumbling than evil, they still manage to be quite frightening when they’re wielding their chainsaws.

The Opera Ghost

The Opera Ghost, also known as the Phantom of the Opera, is a fictional character who first appeared in Gaston Leroux’s 1911 novel The Phantom of the Opera. The Opera Ghost is a tragic figure, driven to madness by his unrequited love for the opera singer Christine Daaé.

While he’s not explicitly evil, the Opera Ghost’s actions are often motivated by jealousy and revenge, making him a chilling villain.

Stage Fright is a 1987 Italian Giallo film. Slasher villains’ sizes and shapes are not predictable as they can change themselves as per need but all are murderous psychopaths.

The Prowler:- kills with a knife

The Prowler is a masked killer who stalks his victims with a knife, while Tucker & Dale vs. Evil features two redneck friends who become the target of a group of college kids who think they’re cannibals.

Opera Ghost – Stage Fright is a Giallo classic about a masked killer who commits murders during performances at an opera house. These are just a few of the many slasher villains who could have spawned a franchise, but for whatever reason, didn’t.
