SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) has opened admissions for the batch of 2023-25 to two of its programmes: the institute’s traditional flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme and its newest offering, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Business Management PGDM(BM).
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and the Association of MBAs (AMBA), UK have both accredited the institute. According to the most recent Financial Times Masters in Management (MiM) global rankings, SPJIMR is the second best business school in India. The All India Council of Technical Education has accredited both the PGDM and PGDM(BM) programmes (AICTE).
The PGDM and PGDM(BM) are full-time two-year residential programmes. They are taught by a distinguished faculty pool, rely on peer learning among a diverse student body, and provide extensive industry networking and experiential learning opportunities.
In addition to one‘s acclaimed non-classroom learning initiatives that foster a socially-sensitive innovative mindset, the PGDM and PGDM(BM) programmes provide all participants with a Global Fast Track (GFT) in which they serve an international immersion in their area of specialisation at top-ranked global Business Schools.
Dr. Sajeev Abraham George, Chairperson of the PGDM programme, stated in his message to aspirants: “In curriculum and pedagogy, our programmes are known for their highly distinctive and innovative approach to management education. While the PGDM and PGDM(BM) programmes share a foundational first year curriculum, the PGDM programme emphasizes functional specialization in the second year, while the PGDM(BM) programme allows students to develop general management competencies.”
The PGDM programme has 240 seats for Indian nationals and 36 seats for foreign nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs). The PGDM(BM) programme has 60 seats available each year. Applicants will be able to apply to both programmes using the same application form. The application deadline is November 25, 2022.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree degree from a recognized university in any discipline
- Students in their final year of graduation may also apply.
- Applicants with CAT 2022 or GMAT scores are eligible to apply (Jan 2020 onwards)
- Work experience is not required for the PGDM or PGDM(BM) programmes. Applicants must be recent graduates or have at least five years of work experience.
Selection Process
The selection process at SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) considers not only academic readiness but also emotional readiness, work experience, extra-curricular activities, and aptitude that are aligned with the Institute’s mission of influencing managerial practice and promoting values-based growth.
At the application stage, PGDM candidates must select two specializations from Finance, Information Management, Marketing, and Operations. The PGDM(BM) programme develops all functional areas of management holistically and offers the unique flexibility of selecting a preferred mix of courses based on career goals.
